Mac OSX PMS can’t update from clients

Server Version#: 1.19.1.2589
Player Version#: various
OS: MacOSX Catalina

Plex works fine in all other respects but the “update” within the web or from clients doesn’t work.

The update downloads and says it’s installing but PMS just quits and never restarts.

I have had this issue in the past. To resolve Manually download the installer and after installing add the App icon to your applications folder/ select replace. Have Plex media server off during the process.
