"Version 1.29.2.6364 Something went wrong. Please install manually." — but where's Mac server?

Server Version#: Version 1.29.2.6364
Player Version#:

I just checked Plex, and saw this message. When I click the link at “Please install manually,” I’m taken to a downloads page that shows FreeBSD, Linux & Windows…but no Mac.

I’m running Plex server on a Mac (2014 Mac Mini, OS X Monterey 12.6.1).

I’ve not seen this error before. Can someone point me toward a solution?

Thanks.

I am seeing the same thing, but I’m stuck on 1.30.0.6442

The same for me, the MAC downloads seem to have disappeared.

I am seeing the same issue, but stuck on 1.26.1.5798

Mac is not a selectable option on the download page for Plex Media Server, even with PlexPass beta channel.

Seems weird that it has just disappeared, weird enough to make me actually join the forum’s finally…
Any chance they broke the latest update, and are fixing it?

I would say that’s possible @tim_tmrees_com

If you read this thread there was some issues with updating Mac and the only fix seemed to be rolling back to an earlier version

This is pure speculation, but maybe they pulled the update until there’s a fix

Hi,

I have noticed the same issue. The Server Update feature under the General tap says:

Something went wrong. [Please install manually.]

When I click to install manually I cannot find the MAC platform on the Plex Download website.

This happened today however I have recently upgraded my storage so not sure if it is related.

Apart from this everything works fine on my Plex Server though.

We need a Plexpert to respond to this thread.

Thanks

Welp, when I checked today, it seems the problem went away all by itself.

Thanks, Plex!
