PMS running on MacOS 26.2 & libraries on Synology DS920 running DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 4.
Hello. I just migrated my PMS from Synology to a Mac mini M4 while maintaining the libraries on the Synology NAS. I have mapped a drive (SMB) to the share on my Synology, which seems to disconnect on its own after some period of time. I’ve just installed Automounter to rectify this, but it’s still too early to tell if this is resolved. I do have the network drive in my login items.
I’m also having an issue when adding new files to the library and the PMS is not updating with the new files. I currently have “Scan my library automatically” enabled. I also have it set to do a library scan every 15 minutes. The libraries only update if I run a manual scan - however - this will sometimes cause all or some of my movies to appear in Plex as unavailable. Another manual scan will usually resolve this.
Any suggestions on how to get my libraries to auto update? Thank you in advance.
