Matching Plex recordings with Plex TV Series database information

Hi,

Is there a way to have TV show recordings match the episode information in the new Plex TV Series database? At least for me, they appear to not match. For example, Plex records the Daniel Tiger “Be a Vegetable Taster!” episode as Season 1, Episode 16. However, the new Plex TV Series database says that episode should be Season 1, Episode 31. If I change the name of the episode on the recording to S01E31, I will get all of the metadata information but Plex will think I’m missing the episode and will record it again. Thank you in advanced for the help.

Plex should be saving your episodes based on the information in the guide. This way you won’t get duplicates or files overwriting each other.

Exactly. It’s best to keep it the way it is now.
