Main profile on remote user's TV?

So I have Plex running on a Synology, and my girlfriend is one of my Users and everything is running smoothly with her being able to watch whatever she wants at her house.

While I was at her house without her I decided to watch something on Plex - but a show that I’d been watching on my profile and I wanted to pick up where I’d left off. Not having my profile on her TV I couldn’t do that.

I tried adding myself onto her TV but it didn’t work. From her TV I was able to create a separate profile but it wasn’t linked to any of the libraries, only the basic stuff that Plex offers.

So is there a way that I can have both her shared profile and my main profile on her remote location, so that I can access my profile at home as well as at her house?

In the Plex client on her TV, logout of her account and login with yours. When finished, reverse the process.

You could also add her to your Plex Home. This would enable Fast User Switching, allowing you to switch accounts without the logout/login sequence. You would most likely want to PIN protect your account as it is the Plex server owner/administrator.

See Plex DocumentationPlex Home for additional details.

Thanks! I’ll try logging out and back in.

I was hoping there would be a way to switch back and forth like I do at home, but if this is what works then that’s the answer. Thanks again!

For that you would need to change the way you share and do it like @FordGuy61 mentions and links to.
Probably worth doing it this is gonna be a fairly frequent thing.
