Make Discover really AWESOME

Hello,

I just tested the new Discover feature an I have some ideas to make it more awesome:

  • Unificate the search bar and automaticaly dedup content available on private Media Servers and only allowed external services.
  • Rework the “Discover” content page to allow to start the movie in one click if it is available in a Plex Media Server, same for episode view. [Mod-Edit: duplicate → see below]
  • Support multi-language for the Discover list (and allow the user to change easily)
  • A lot of providers are free and DRM-free (France TV, arte, 6play,…) it could be awesome to allow to stream them directly from the Plex interface (using a reverse-proxy to serve the HLS/Dash files).

As for your last bullet point:
Providers making their content available for free doesn’t mean other companies can freely redistribute that content. So that one isn’t going to happen – sorry.

Please stick with the rules for the feature suggestion category and go with 1 suggestion per thread. Otherwise things will get complicated and users can no longer vote for individual suggestions.
