It is annoying having to select subtitles everytime another episode of a show plays, I think it would be efficient if the subtitles were automatically selected every time the episode changes over.
Settings > Language.
It’s there.
Always On - is the switch.
and we hope the language tags in your media are such that Plex will know what to do, but Always On usually results in something being on - perhaps not the right something, but let’s find out together.

Can you explain what’s the difference between Settings > Language and edit profile? Are they complementary?

It’s confusing.
Subs and Languages are an ‘Account Thing’ - not a ‘Server Thing’.
Whatever changes you make in either place (I assume) do the same thing and that’s ONLY for your Admin Account - from what I gather. I expect I’ll be corrected harshly soon - if that’s not the case.
