Managed user App 7.22

Since the update to 7. 2.2 Managed users can no longer access the Plex Play in WLAN. Is there a solution for this? Or can someone confirm this??

Can you explain what you mean by “Plex Play”? That is not the name for anything from Plex.

Hello, the iOS app!! If users are created in the iOS app, only the admin can play music. I have been using several users on my account for many years now only the admin account is working at the moment.

If you have shared entire music libraries with these users, it should work. If you shared individual items, there is a bug that is preventing this from working. A fix is in the works.

Hello, no it doesn’t work if I shared the entire library!

Individual elements work if the admin account is briefly opened at startup. An album is briefly played in the admin account. An administrator can then use this to play.

It doesn’t matter which user on the desktop, it works. Thank you for your efforts!!

Can you reproduce the error using a managed user, then get me the ios log.

Is there proper Plex support. I have been writing back and forth in the forum after half a year. still the same problem. The problem, created users cannot play music in the wlan. Playing this only works with mobile data. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: LG

There was a specific issue around playing music at the time you created this post. That was fixed shortly afterwards.

If the issue is only while on the LAN, you have a different issue that I am unaware of. Although issues only on LAN are often related to DNS rebinding.

What client are you using? Can you provide me a log from the client after reproducing the problem?

Hello, no I have had the same problem since the beginning. I can use the Plex app with any user with mobile data. As soon as I use WiFi wherever in the world. Only the admin account works. It is not possible to play a title for all other users.

The issue is on any WiFi, not just within the same network. That is odd. That would be a remote connection and if that works on mobile data, it should work on WiFi from other locations.

Again, please reproduce and get me the logs.

Please provide me the logs. I can’t tell why it would do that from looking at the video.

The error is the same for all end devices that I use. And as I mentioned, this has been at least since September 2021. I had also tried to put older firmware on my NAS. This didn’t work, NAS didn’t accept an older version.
