Everything was working fine until now, Plex stopped loading any data for the managed user on Android client. Entering as main user - everything loads instantly. Entering as second managed user - nothing works, as if libraries are empty. Home screen just keeps showing the loading animation.
As a matter of fact same issue persisted on web client as well. Unfortunately I can’t get logs anymore. I’m done with trying to use managed users, nothing but issues and limitations. Switched to a separate user. Works fine like that.
Main downside is that with this approach we have to pay for each android client to unlock all features. That’s after I payed for lifetime subscription, then for each android client.
I loved plex and always advertised it to everyone, and I was even willing to support and pay for it, but starting to think about giving Jellyfish a try. Especially after getting a comment that my i7 2600k is ‘vintage’ and not fit for Plex from one of Plex staff members, telling me that my CPU was causing issues with Plex, when in the end it was some permission problems and database corruption. That’s after it handled 2-3 plex streams (one of them with transcoding) + motioneye surveilance + ~10 other services in docker and lxc and VMs without even hitting 100% load.
They just need to log in and it’s automatic as long as they stay part of your Plex Home. If they leave Plex Home, or it gets disabled because you let your PP expire, then the app goes back to being unactivated.
I see. Well, maybe they did not accept the invitation prior to going to the app, I’ll test it next time I need to add another client device to Plex Home.
