A managed user issue with the web app and also the player app.
I’ve got either the webapp running on Mozilla Firefox, or the Player app, within a windows 10 restricted shell (Shell Launcher).
The managed user account has access to the devices tab within settings.
The Plex Web (Firefox) browser device or the Player (the only ones listed depending on what is used, which is thank goodness or else every device could be removed) shows a red cross which sees the device being able to be removed.
Removing device then requires re-authentication.
The Firefox browser is remembering the admin / account details for signin (incl password) so kid just logs in via the auto filled login details. The app does not remember the login due to having to relaunch a webpage which is locked down.
Through the web app this then loads straight into the admin user console etc without any prompt to select either the admin or existing managed user.
‘Hey Presto’ kid can then start to delete media and also the managed user account etc etc and therefore server requires re-configuring. Luckily I don’t loose any media as its in the recycle bin which with the restricted shell he cant access.
Can any changes be made so that managed users cannot remove devices from within the settings ?
