Managed Users and Separate Star Ratings

I set up a managed account for my son to access my music library. I assumed when he did access it that my star ratings for music files would appear in his, and was pleasantly surprised to find that none of “his” music was rated.

Before he goes crazy and starts rating everything, I just wanted confirmation that Plex will maintain two separate ratings for each file - one for me and one for him.

Also, is there any way to sync or merge the ratings? (If there is, I want to make sure to disable it or not accidentally engage it.)

It’s not different files, they are in the server’s database, but they are logged separately for each account.
