Managed Users cannot fling from iOS to Plex HTPC

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4523
Player Version#: 1.3.1.2347-2bc468d3

Hi,
I currently have a setup where we have a HTPC rather than a TV. With Plex Media Player (in TV mode), my family can use their home/managed accounts to fling media from the phone to PMP. I’m tyring out Plex HTPC (mostly for the live TV&DVR features built in), but managed users cannot fling to HTPC, but my admin account can. Do we know why?
We’re all using iPhones too, logged in to the same account.

I have a plex pass (hence the live TV stuff)
Thank you!

Hi @ElaTheDeveloper . I’m unsure how the application would respond to one home user flinging content while another home user account is already signed in. It’s a reasonable and interesting use case, just not one I’m familiar with. Are you all using iPhones instead of passing a remote?

Hi,
Yes. We are. We have iPhones all on the latest updates. Even if the manager user ok the htpc is the same as the one on the iPhone, it just won’t show up. the iPhone has to be on the admin account.

Thanks @ElaTheDeveloper. We reproduced the behavior you’ve reported. There are several systems involved to help the iOS device to rendezvous and control with HTPC. We’ve got some ideas what could be happening but will need more investigation to determine if the current behavior is expected.

Awesome! Looking forward to finding out what’s up. The Plex Media Player app (the old TV interface one from 2019) doesn’t have the issue btw. Super weird!
