I have a PMS running in a FreeNAS jail. I then have tow managed users with restricted access (my kids). They can only access certain libraries, that are shared with them. Their Ipads are logged in to my account, and then I´ve selected their respective user. All accounts have PIN codes.
Then, on their Ipad using their managed accounts, I can choose to stream to PHT running on a Raspberry Pi 3 connected to my TV. When the selected video ends, they are presented with my home screen. With full access to all libraries.
How do I restrict this? They should only see the libraries shared with them here, right? I must have done something wrong somewhere, but what?
PHT has been unsupported for several years already.
You can either switch to ‘PMP embedded’
https://nightlies.plex.tv/public-test/plexmediaplayer/embedded-testing/
or try your luck with the latest version of OpenPHT (which is also already severely outdated).
Additionally, what user was signed into PHT at the time? When you cast, it does not change the user that is signed into the app. If this was using your account, then after the cast video finishes, it will return to your account.
As signing in and accounts are a bit complex in Plex, I´ll try and break it down.
All devices are logged in to the same Plex account, let´s call it Master.
Then the kids devices are switced to their managed accounts, using their PIN code.
PHT is showing the login screen where you select user and enter PIN. Next step is selecting something to watch. Then PHT is showing the page for that item, without giving any PIN. If they then bring up the remote on their Ipad and press Home, the Home screen for Master account is showing.
After that they can browse and play anything from any library without any restriction. So that sort of defeats the purpose of choosing which libraries to share.
How do I keep restricted content restricted?
I am very sorry. I completely missed the first response. I only saw the one from @anon18523487.
Plus, I was wrong about another thing. My RPi is not running PHT anymore. it´s on PMP embedded and has been for a while.
I apologize for all of this and hope someone will still want to help me
I am having this problem in PMP embedded, not in PHT.
Based on what you wrote it doesn’t seem like you auto sign in on the PMP app? Is there a reason you don’t? Steps are here on how to do that: https://support.plex.tv/articles/115000473213-settings-plex-media-player/
By doing that you will be logged into the last account that was logged in. For the devices for your kids, that would mean that you do not need to log into their account every time. You can then switch users if you want to use a different account on that device, you’ll just need to make sure you switch back to the kids account.

I’m confused on this part. Which user did you select from the user screen, or did you leave it on this page?
Next step is selecting something to watch. Then PHT is showing the page for that item, without giving any PIN.
Are you selecting from PMP or from the app on their iPads?
I don´t. All IOS devices log in automatually to their respective account. But not on the PMP as I don´t want unauthorized users (the kids) to access libraries they shouldn´t.
Any misunderstanding there?
I leave it here. Always.
I am selecting from their Ipads, and when I do so PMP automatically goes from the login screen to the selected items page. And then they can browse any and every library, on the PMP. That´s where my problem is.
Any thoughts?
Interesting. I don’t have any iOS devices, but from my Android devices, I can’t even connect to PMP if it’s on the user page. I’ll have to check what the expected behavior should be and if one app is doing something wrong.
Re-reading your OP, probably how you want to keep it actually. I was thinking you would have it logged into the the kids account and then log in when you wanted but it sounds like that’s maybe the main TV you would use the most. Keeping it how you have it setup means that you need to enter the pin to be able to use Plex, which sounds like what you want.
I’ll let @anon18523487 continue with this as my suggestion was unnecessary.

@ MovieFan.Plex very interested in what you might find.
you need to enter the pin to be able to use Plex,
In theory yes, but the IOS devices log in autmatically, and I don´t have to sign in to PMP, so I never actually have to enter the PIN manually, unless I switch user on a device for some reaseon
but the IOS devices log in autmatically,
That is a setting which can be changed in every Plex client. The iOS client is no exception from this rule.

Accouint - Automatically Sign In
That is a setting which can be changed in every Plex client.
Yes. That´s not the issue. The thing is that after logging into a managed users account, they can select a PMP to cast to, and then browse all libraries on that PMP, regardless of access given to them on the PMS.
Which mode of PMP do you see this? desktop or tv or both, just so we can check.
I am running PMP embedded on RPI 3. Just to check I tried doing the same thing with PMP on my windows PC, but it seems I have to enter the PIN there to be able to cast to it.

Any chance you´ve had time to take a look at this?
