Only main user can use iOS to control HTPC

I’ve set up a Mac with HTPC and want to use Plex for iPhone to control it.

When I open Plex on my iPhone I can see the HTPC, connect to it and control it no problem.

But when I try to do the same thing on my partner’s iPhone when switched to her User account, it won’t see the HTPC. I have to switch Plex on her phone back to my User to see the HTPC.

Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change so that see can see the HTPC device from her iPhone?

I cannot currently verify this… my guess is you cannot remote control a device that’s signed in as a different account.

IIRC there’s been a discussion about that in the context of headless Plexamp devices which should be a streaming target for multiple users.
