Managed users cannot see their devices

I’ve read some closed posts by now, regarding managed users and their devices.
For some reason, devices only appear and are active in “authorised devices” when the main user (admin) is logged in to the device.
When a managed user logs on to the device, the “last seen” time is not updated.
Also, and thats my main issue, the managed users cannot see their device in the “player device list” not on their phone, or using web.
As main user (admin) i don’t have this issue, i can stream to all the devices i’m logged on to.

Does someone have a solution to my issue?
Thx!

This is the way it’s always been, and AFAIK by design

cannot believe it’s by design, why would you allow all users to play anything from any device, without the server knowing which devices are connected?
sounds like a bad design and security risk to me.

Server knows, just not exposed

Why?
Security is based on user login, not device/player

Ok, probebly true, but why would it update it on the authorized devices page? now it shows false info by giving the impression that the device was last used weeks ago, while it’s being used daily.

Part of security is noticing when something is wrong, this way i won’t ever notice. If the account is compromized i won’t notice it’s being used by for example a chrome browser, which all devices in the auth page are the same in naming.

Besides that, i still would like to able, on a managed user, to use my phone as remote for a player installed on my TV.

It has always been like that it only showed the devices that the admin user was logged into.
A managed user is where it might originally been logged in as admin, but then a user switch is happening towards a managed user, and as such, will not update it’s properties for the device

Different Q req. a new thread
