Managed Users Error: "Looking for servers"

Server Version#: 1.15.2.793
Player Version#: 3.83.1

First time i’ve seen this. On the windows 10 PC where the server is running, if I double click the taskbar icon to open the local web client (http://127.0.0.1:PORT/web/), then switch from the admin user to any of the other managed users, it shows 0 content, and says “Looking for servers”. Signed out, back in. Restarted the server. Restarted the PC. No resolution yet.

I’m having the same issue at the moment running latest PMS on Ubuntu 18.04.2. Some users locate the server just fine and some won’t.

Update I’ve noticed a pattern that if you select a managed user and get the “Looking for Server” error and select to switch user again, regardless if you select a new user or the same user, the profile will load just fine. It seems every other attempt to switch the user results in the error.

I can’t quite duplicate it in the Android app. I’m sure this has something to do with my updating my server to Ubuntu 18.04 and keeping my Plex Server name.

I’m facing the same issue as both of you as well. I can’t really offer much help as I bought my Plex pass last night so I’m facing this problem as a new user! :sob:

Edit I’m running Plex on my Synology NAS with all latest updates, could it potentially be the latest version of Plex?

Does anyone know how i get actual support on this from Plex devs? Is that even possible?

Sadly, it doesn’t seem like there is any way to communicate directly with Plex for support, even if you (like me) own a lifetime plex pass. Currently, my plex server is not allowing remote connections after the latest update and I’m stuck scouring through user forums trying to find a solution on my own when I really ought to be able to expect some support, having paid a lifetime fee.
