When I log onto my PMS it says Looking for Servers… in the top left corner. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the PMS several times now. I have a lifetime pass so I even tried the DVR Beta versions of PMS. I always have the same message of Looking for Servers… I tried removing all of my devices too. It was fine a few days ago but I haven’t been on any of my devices since the the holidays.
Same issue here
One causes for not finding the server is having set up multiple accounts and not signing the client into the same account the server is signed into.
@astrofisher I only have one account.
Does this occur using the local web app?
http://localhost:32400/web or http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
or serveripaddress:32400/web
I get it on both.
Try a different browser. I think there is something wrong with the latest version of PMS and/or the latest version of Chrome. I briefly see an “Aww Snap this webpage stopped working” (really just a quick rectangular flash in the top left corner) before the plex home page loads. Whatever that crash is, is making Chrome not find the plex server. I’m seeing this on 3 sites that I help manage (for family members) right now.
I am having the same issue. I cannot connect to my server on the local machine, but I can connect to it via my phone and view content I have on there. I have also tried uninstall and reinstalling and still no luck.
Take a look at the following support article:
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/204281528-Why-am-I-locked-out-of-Server-Settings-and-how-do-I-get-in-
Edit the registry and delete “PlexOnlineToken”.
On the pc running the server software, open the local app (it should not require a login and should find your server. Disable secure connections. Settings> Server> Network.
@drshaw thanks! trying firefox now.
@drshaw It didn’t work for me. It says the server can’t be reached.
Registry mod worked for me! Thank you!
@astrofisher That seems to have worked but it is making me manually download the PMS, so I guess it isn’t recognizing the DVR Beta.

Ok, I’ve not seen that. Did the web app show up? Did you have any access to server settings?
Same issue here on chrome but I tried FF and it worked fine.
But I can’t access it from my tv or mobile. Only on FF.
I have uninstalled from my phone and reinstalled and nothing and my tv is a Samsung and it comes with the app, I can’t even sign out and back in with it. I show remote access available.
@astrofisher I did the registry fix and I get the attached screenshot every time. I have tried to manually install the PMS again but still nothing.
Check Task Manager to ensure that there isn’t any Plex processes running. If so, kill them.
Try uninstalling via Control Panel - this type of uninstall should not affect your existing libraries.
Try to install again.
When I try to claim the server I get the login (screenshot 4) but when I put in my login info I get this error popup (screenshot 5)
