I have two managed users set up on my plex (son & wife) and neither of them have anything showing up for the server. I’ve granted them both access to two out of three of my libraries but nothing is shown in their accounts. In mine I can see everything. Can anyone help get their accounts working again?
Can you check if the shared libraries show under More in the main navigation / sidebar?
Even if you have applies a restriction profile or manual restriction that would cause all movies to be hidden from them, they should still see an empty library…
you can properly see your server/libraries if you’re using the admin/main user of your Plex home?
after switching to one of the managed users, their screen is completely empty (as per your screenshot)
did you disable the online media sources offered by Plex for those managed users or should those be showing on their home screen?
can the managed users access Settings > Plex Web > Debug?
If so… can you click on reset customizations (red button) and check if that makes a difference? → resetting customizations only applies to their web experience and won’t impact your server or your own account; I’m not sure this will make a difference given you’ve been experiencing the same on multiple clients.
This might be a silly question… did you attempt to switch to one of those managed users since Saturday 5am? I seem to fail finding any records in your logs pointing to another user being active only our server (except for yourself).
I’ve just tried adding in my ip/subnet into the ‘List of IP address and networks that are allowed without auth’ setting on my server and the ‘More’ option has shown up for the managed users. This allows them to select the server and see what has recently been added but nothing else. They can’t play anything either. They can’t pin the server so that it would show up by default. This is the same result if accessing via the direct IP address of the server or going through plex.tv url
