[SOLVED] Shared Libraries not Visible to Managed Users or Friends

Server Version#: 1.25.6.5577
Player Version#: Web

I migrated my PMS to a new server a few days ago, moving from a Mac install to docker on an Ubuntu host.

Everything seems to be running fine, I can log in with my admin account and see all the content with the correct watch statuses.

I’ve updated network settings and my router for the new server and remote access shows as ‘fully accessible’. I’ve confirmed this with my admin account and can connect and view content.

The problem I have is that both managed accounts and friends’ accounts cannot access my server. I’ve reshared the libraries with them but they still see nothing. This happens whether attempting to access the server remotely or on my LAN and when using both the android app and the web app.

I’ve set up new accounts and new managers users (with no restrictions) to see if that helps but it didn’t.

I’m sure there must be a setting I’m missing on my account but I can’t see what it is.

Some of my manages users show nothing under Home in the left nav, in the one managed user where I have web content allows I can see my server listed but clicking on it says ‘Not authorized. You do not have access to this server’.

Has anyone got any ideas?

After some discussion on my r/Plex post on Reddit, I realised nothing in the logs showed any issue, no errors, no warning, nothing. So, the problem must be to do with authorisation before it gets to my server, so I disconnected the server from my account and re-claimed it which solved the issue.

Steps Taken

Removed from docker-compose.yml file:

  • claim_token.

Cleared from Preferences.xml file:

  • PlexOnlineToken
  • PlexOnlineUsername
  • PlexOnlineMail
  • PlexOnlineHome

Restarted the server then logged in on http://localip:32400/web and reclaimed the server.
