Managed users' views showing up on main account?

Server Version#: 1.15.6.1079

Recently, even though my kids are watching movies and TV shows under their own managed users, their unfinished content will now show up in my main account. Yet when I look at the play history both in the Plex dashboard and via Tautulli, they have clearly played the content using their own accounts.

Is there a difference which client type you are using? i.e. compare it with the default web app

Are you using the trakt.tv plugin?
If so, you must create a filter in its preferences.

I thought it was the new Apple TV beta since it hadn’t happened until recently, but I see that some of the plays have been on my kids’ iPads.

I’m not using the trakt.tv plugin, since i’ve been using tv time instead, but maybe i should to save me some work…

I didn’t mean which clients were used for the playback.

I mean on which client type are you seeing the mixed-up OnDeck?
Is it mixed up on every client device (type) in your account or only on one particular client?

Oh, sorry. Yes, it’s mixed up on every client device in my account. I see the same thing on the web client, in Apple TV, etc.

Did you activate DLNA on your server? Because if you do this, then all playbacks which are made per generic DLNA clients are attributed to your admin account.

Nope, DLNA is not and has never been enabled.

Almost running out of ideas here.

Are you sure your kids didn’t find out your PIN?

Have you checked your Plex database file for damage?

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 5 minutes
  6. fetch log files and attach them here

Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.

turns out i already have debug logging on, and i just searched the log file and there are no mentions of corrupt or malformed.
