My favorite team has their season opener on Thursday night. The game is being broadcast locally on the CBS affiliate, but the guide is showing several other random shows in the timeslot.
If I just pick the show that starts at the same time and manually tell it to record for 150 minutes after the show (giving me a three hour recording), will that work properly? Or is there some other way to just manually record from a certain start to end point? Thanks!
Manual recording has often been requested and discussed but is not currently available. It is one basic feature that everyone is still waiting for. The recent release of the EPG grid guide has eliminated a lot of the manual recording requests, but as you note above, there are still circumstances where manual record would be the best solution.
Yes, manual record would help where the guide is wrong about the baseball playoffs.

What can we do when the guide for some channels is wrong by 1 hours. I have the case for FOX and SciFy where guide is postponing 1 hour all programs. consequence I am never recording the correct programm.
Is there some special contacts for that? Who is providing the guide information? how could we let them know that there is an issue?
