Hi, firstly apologies if this is covered in another question - I tried searching but couldn’t see anything.
I’ve twice updated Plex Media Server on my Synology NAS for new versions recently (did not uninstall old version, download new direct from Plex, then add this through ‘Packages’ and the Diskstation tells me it has updated the old version). However, each time when I opened Plex Media Server, the old libraries had disappeared. Two servers appear in the home page (both titled Diskstation), but it says that one of them cannot be reached. The other has no libraries.
I’m able to add new libraries by the usual route of pointing a new library toward my media folder, but I then lose all info like watched/unwatched, and the library needs to re-scan and download metadata / subtitles etc. for my content. I can also see the old metadata and settings folders and contents in the Plex folder on my NAS, but cannot see a way to ‘point’ the Plex Media Server to this location!
Can anyone help me?
Again, sorry if this is really basic and readily available elsewhere - I just could not find it through searching these forums or google!
Thanks in advance!
