I have found a solution easier than others before. Just copy and paste.
This is how I do it using a MacOS but it works with Windows too.
1/Turn off Plex on the drobo
2/ Double click plex.tgz opens and you can see the files
3/ Inside folder Plex, copy all the files and folders.
4/ Goto your DroboApp/plex folder (I have mine mapped)
5/ Paste them (this overwrites the “old” files)
Restart Plex and it is updated
Your Drobo does not need to reboot!
Hey, same issue, same config (stunned that this hasn’t been properly address). Thanks for your cut and paste instructions, of all the various ways mentioned as solutions, this is only one that worked! Did have to reboot drobo, re-detect Plex on drobo, stand on one foot, and various other things… but, it WORKED! Of course, right after that the next update came out. I’m taking a breather on it fo a couple of days. Thanks again for instructions that worked.
