Hi Everyone don’t know if anyone can help I’m running plex on a Drobo 5n, and I have been unable to update past the version 1.0.3.2461 I’m running firmware 3.5.11 and drobo software version 2.8.3, I have been downloading version 1.2.7.2987 and adding the .tgz file to the Drobo apps volume stopping plex from running then restarting the Drobo, but every time it starts back up it has not updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too am having the same issue on a Drobo 5N with the same firmware as you Jakatta666.
I put the plex.tgz file into the DroboApps folder, I restart the Drobo, the Drobo Apps > Plex area gives me the option to update and I do, then I restart again… but after everything Plex is still telling me that I have an update available.
My Plex version seems to be stuck at Version 1.0.3.2461 too.

Jakatta666 I figured it out, with the help of this thread:
For what it’s worth, I wasn’t stopping Plex before putting the tgz file into the DroboApps folder and I was pressing the update button in Drobo Dashboard > Drobo Apps > Plex (which downloaded an old update.)
Once I corrected my above mistake, the manual update you describe worked fine.

I have Plex app installed and a couple of stupid questions Do you have to have a host computer to run the Plex app on the Drobo
