Manually Add TV Shows?

Server Version#: 1.32.8.7639

Does anyone know a way to manually add shows to the “TV Shows” … I have at least 1/2 a dozen folders that are not showing up … I have done all the tricks of making sure the files are label correctly and stuff like that … but if you create a library and use the “TV Shows” option they just don’t show up …

Now if you make a library with the “Other” as the option then they do show up because you set that to show folders … Kind of a pain as I would have manually match everything together and when you have over 80 tv shows that would take months …

Thoughts ? advice ?

Please show how you have the TV shows named and organized - directory listing, screenshot, etc.

Please show the file path, including the folder added to the TV show library. Also show the file extension (mkv/mp4/etc).

I have my “Tv Shows” Folder mapped at the T drive …

So the as you can see from the attached pics I should have everything correct … Yet Plex doesn’t see the folders in Green …

Tip 1: make sure to apply the correct naming schema for your episode files. Plex won’t add files to a tv-show type library if they don’t match the naming schema.

Tip 2: preferably don’t use bare drive letters as library folders… e.g. use T:\TV Shows\ as root instead of just T:\

Example:

T:\
  TV Shows   <- folder linked to your library
    Farscape The Peacekeeper Wars
      Season 01
        Farscape The Peacekeeper Wars - s01e01-e02.mkv

OR

T:\
  TV Shows   <- folder linked to your library
    Farscape
      Season 05
        Farscape - s05e01-e02.mkv

for the advice … I did your first example for some strange reason that worked … Don’t understand why it worked , because I have not had to have a file that deep in the tree in order it to be picked up …

So now I just need to figure out the Expedition Unknown ones and then the amount of folders in the directory will match what is in plex …

Just follow TheTVDB naming. Always works.
