So again, I don’t know how I would search for this, so I do apologize if this has been asked and answered in the past, but any help will be greatly appreciated.
I have one TV show that isn’t showing up in my usual TV show library. It isn’t mismatched, it isn’t being concealed as a duplicate, it just isn’t showing up at all. BUT I can create a whole new TV show library and put that one show in it and it’s recognized, matches perfectly and performs exactly as expected.
Folder directory naming convention matches that required by Plex
drive:\show title (year)\show title (year) season #\show title (year) season-episode episode title
Everything is identical to every other show I have, so I can’t figure this out for the life of me.
Also, the server is on a dedicated Windows 10 HTPC. I’ve done the so-called ‘Plex Dance’ a couple of times, rebooted the computer, restarted PMS and nothing seems to work.
I think that Plex sometimes can have a bit of a fit if you point a library at a root folder of a drive letter. I hear it’s best to place all shows within a “TV Shows” folder (or whatever name you want), then point plex at that folder. This may be the issue.
The show title and year are NOT required or suggested when you name the “Season 01” folders, etc. Might not make a difference, but I also used to think that you can name these folders whatever you want and Plex ignored the sub-folder names. I had some “S00” episodes sitting in the wrong season folder once, and Plex didn’t pick them up until they were relocated.
