Manually adding Podcasts fails about 95% of the time with "Something went wrong"

The documentation states that you can manually add podcasts not listed in the Podcast directory by clicking the +mic button, then pasting the RSS feed URL for the podcast. The RSS links I got from NPR for “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me” and “Planet Money” worked fine. However, every other RSS feed I’ve now tried for a number of different podcasts has Plex complaining “Something went wrong.”

Has anyone actually gotten this to work?

Any updates on when this might be fixed?

Don’t hold your breath. This feature has been broken, and neglected for a full year. I expect it to be killed off in the not too distant future.
