Marking commercials is nice but how about an option to auto skip?

This method of detecting commercials is preferred but I don’t like that it can’t auto skip. How about adding that option?

I agree. I’ve been hoping for this for a while. I would rather mark for skip then auto-remove to save my hardware from having to post process the files, but I would still like if I didn’t have to pick up a remote to skip. This is especially cumbersome when using chromecast.

Yes, I just paid for a plex pass and love it, but I don’t want to have to use the remote to skip commercial’s every 5 to 10 min.

If a you can scan for commercials and make an auto skip button why not a auto skip ON all the time?

For example, I’m recording a handful of various tv shows, at night when I go to watch a comedy show about nothing, I want to click the image and it start playing without commercials. Otherwise I’ll just spend the money on eBay for the DVD series with no commercials.

Upvote! Deleting commercials is nice, but occasionally it is wrong. Auto skipping would be the best of both worlds! Playback as if the commercials are deleted, with a button to go back in case it got it wrong (usually it’s obvious if it’s wrong).

Basically the inverse of the detect and skip as it is today. Push a button to NOT skip the commercials instead of pushing a button TO skip the commercials. 95+% of the time the commercial detection is spot on, pushing the skip button constantly is unnecessary.

This was finally added to bunch of players but not the Apple TV. I can’t believe this was 2 years ago.
