Question: What path is added to the library? It should be H:\Animation. Adding the root folder of a drive, ex: H:\, is not recommended, as doing so can cause problems with Plex.

Suggestions:

  1. Rename and re-organize the movie, adding the release year and placing it in its own folder.
  2. Add the IMDB/TMDB ID to the folder and file name (optional).
  3. Do the same for Despicable Me 2 and 3 if you have those in your library.
  4. Plex Dance the movie after renaming/reorganizing (instead of just re-scanning the library).

  • Adding the year helps Plex recognize the movie, especially when there are sequels.
  • Adding the IMDB/TMDB ID tells Plex exactly which movie to match.
  • The Plex Dance removes incorrect matching information from the Plex server’s database.
