After an update, I added two movie (mp4) files to my movies folder (on a usb).
Plex “noticed them” and immediately added to recently added, however it won’t match.
I named the file in this format “title - {imd-xxxxxx)” just like all my other files. It shows up as this full file name in movies instead of matching it and dropping the - {imdb-xxxxxx} portion.
I tried to match manually, but it was unable to find anything.
(I also tried to ‘re-match’ an existing file, but it also could not find any results – even tho it was matched)
perform the plex dance with those files, then upload a copy of your server logs, and provide the file names and path for those files.
Super strange. Oh a whim, I rebooted my Mac, then ran a 'refresh metadata ’ on the 2 movies and now all is right with my plex world again
