When matching a show, it only returns the first match, even when trying to correct a bad match.
Which means when tvdb returns a poor choice as the first result, it ends up being difficult to correct a bad match.
For an example: https://thetvdb.com/search?query=masterchef+junior
Because Masterchef Junior (Tr) is the first result returned, that’s what it auto-matches to, and attempts to correct only get presented with that as a choice, unless you go to the TVDB website, search, find the correct one further down the list, and match in Plex using the numeric ID for the show.
Why the original of a show that has multiple country-specific versions would be listed 11th out of 19 is something I’d love to bring up with TVDB, but since they got rid of their forums…
Awesome!
I’ll admit that I’ve fallen a little behind on updates while I was rebuilding my server after a multiple drive failure issue, (which is why I noticed the matching issue in the first place on re-importing the library) and not worrying about it because most updates seemed to be focusing on fixes for tv tuner support, but I’m very happy to see them working on this, and I’ll definitely check it out tonight.
