It appears that TMDB is no longer allowing TV Movies in the database, so now all of the TV Movies aren’t able to be matched in a Movie Library. Is the only option to move them into a TV Show Library? It’s odd because just last night Plex helpfully provided me with a recommended category of TV Movies in my Movies Library but, how can I have that if the metadata sources won’t match TV Movies anymore?
Is there an easy fix out there that anyone has already found?
Not sure how you came to that conclusion — I just manually matched the following new TV movie the other day:
TMDB is ‘selectively’ disallowing TV Movies. I asked them why they had deleted:
Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest (2007)
and I was told it was never a ‘Proper’ Movie - only a TV Show Episode - and me standing like an idiot holding in my hand the DVD that states it’s:
Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest (2007)…
(Well, I never…)
Yea, I had to Fix Match and Change the Agent to Personal Media - then hand edit an item I had added to TMDB… TWICE!
And I’m still not over it… will probably never get over it…
For Example:
Star Trek Renegades IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2621446/
Only shows as a TV Show on TMDB.

It may be argued that the movie was originally a Miniseries, which is also not allowed in the Movies section of TMDB.

Which says:
1h 28min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi | TV Series (2015– )
Episode Guide: 2 episodes
So also not a movie according to IMDB?
And shows up as a series here: Star Trek: Renegades - TheTVDB.com
