MCEbuddy Plex DVR best settings

Ahhhh. I did see that there is a hardware encoding option, but I thought I tried it with it on and off but didn’t see much/any change. Then again, I have an AMD APU (A8-7600), so in addition to it not being either Intel or NVidia, it’s not the most powerful GPU either. I will probably put in a dedicated GPU in the next year or so (I do like the new NVideo 1050 they just announced), although I’d also like to move things off of HTPC and onto a NAS in the near future as well. Unless I continue my plans to do so and still have HTPC wake up during off hours to transcode.

I believe with the latest 2.5 release MCEBuddy now also supports AMD hardware encoding. From their facebook page:

Tip of the day: MCEBuddy 2.5 now supports hardware encoding for AMD, Intel and NVidia graphics cards. It automatically selects the best card (or multiple cards) but you can override it by selecting your preferred choice in the Conversion Task → Expert settings page.
