Moved my plex server from SYNO to a nuc. Everything went well and running through initial testing now, but seeing a single common error in the log:
MDE: unable to find a working transcode profile for video stream
Attached are logs, would appreciate any guidance. The server is installed on Ubuntu 20.04 (a vanilla desktop install). thanks in advance!!

Would you please turn DEBUG logging back on then recreate?
Nothing can be seen to debug without it.
DEBUG logging is on by default. DEBUG logging does not consume more disk space. Logs are capped at 51 MB.
Hmm, it is on. Not sure if settings sync’d from another server and turned it off, but attached are another set of logs after verifying it’s on…

It does not like the video. Also, I don’t see the player come in and request the transcoded video either so it’s not getting that far.
You’ve done a manual “Analyze”?
I will do that next. I think it’s not actually using a player, i think it’s grabbing the “skip intro” data.
Is there a way to ensure I have all the latest codecs? As this was a transplant from syno, i want to make sure i dont have any skeletons.
To make sure you have the latest codecs
Stop Plex
as root: cd /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Codecs
Remove all you see there EXCEPT the .device_id. That is your server license ID key.
When you restart Plex and play videos, it will start downloading the latest codecs for the machine which match that server the first time you play something with that codec, there will be the slight extra pause while it gets the codec again.
