Hey - I was having a discussion with a unraid user the other day and he mentioned that when ever he has to reboot unraid (for one reason or another) all analyse data appears to go and he has to reanalyse to keep speeds up - where is this data stored?
These informations are stored in the database.
If he loses them, it sounds to me like he is losing access to his media storage.
Maybe Plex scans the libraries during this time anyway, thus removing all the files. And then a little bit later access to the media files is restored and they are added again to the library. But this time they need to be analysed again, because technically they are ‘new’.
Which sounds crazy.
Unfortunately I have no knowledge about Unraid so I can’t advise about it specifically.
Just let him do this:
Settings - Server - Library - ‘Empty trash automatically after every scan’ UNtick
Then monitor whether the issue re-appears.
