Media controls on LG remote

I’m delighted to be able to use Plex on my new LG ThinQ smart TV.

But is there any way to pause and play using buttons on the LG remote? It’s a pain having to activate the pointer and then use the on-screen controls.

I have the LG 48" C1 OLED with this remote:

Knowing the little center button/wheel is also the ‘mouse click’,

1. Pick up the remote
2. click the ring (at the 6 o’clock position – which is “down”)
3. Menus come up and put you right where you want to be.

The only issue with pause that may arise is this default setting.

I often just use back or return key, bottom left of the Wheel
