Since recent update, I noticed that the previously nice and straightforward remote controls are not working as expected in the new version (not sure which update broke it - server or LG Plex App, but it did). It used to be just one click on centre wheel / centre button on the remote to pause/play the feature, left and right to navigate between settings/sound/etc buttons below the playback bar.
Now, to pause/play a feature during playback takes 3 clicks. The centre wheel/button click brings up a playback bar and does nothing else, the default icon highlighted is one to the right (not play/pause). So you need to click to get to the menu, then push left to move the highlight from the menu item to the play/pause symbol, and then click again to action it. This is beyond complex from a usability point of view.
Can this be fixed?

What you describe is not what I see on my LG TV using the magic remote. Click the center wheel and you get a playback bar. Click it again and it pauses the movie. One more time and it plays.
If you want to pause it in one click hit the pause button at the bottom of the remote.
I have trailers enabled, so when I click play on a movie that hasn’t been played before Plex plays 2 trailers before the movie starts. After some more playing around I noticed the following:
When trailers play and I want to skip the trailer I press the centre button and it brings up a trailer menu which defaults to the “Add to Watchlist” button. This, I believe, is where the bug is. When the movie starts playing after the trailers finish and the centre button is pressed it doesn’t default to any of the playback buttons (no button is highlighted) as if it is trying to default to the “Add to Watchlist” button which is no longer there. However, if I exit into the main menu and “continue” playing the movie, or if I disable the trailers feature the centre button on the remote defaults to the play/pause button.
