Media Controls work for Plex but not Plexamp

Media controls for Plexamp are hit or miss for me depending on which application I’m using at the time. I’ve tried setting up global keyboard shortcuts but they only work when my keyboard media controls work. I have to switch windows to Plexamp and then they work again. I think it might be linked to running programs as an admin, but not positive.

In the same applications that prevent media controls from working with Plexamp, I’m able to control the Plex app with them just fine.

Is there a setting or something causing this or is this a problem with Plexamp?
