Plex has scanned in all my movies no problem. The issue now seems to be my music. I have almost a terabyte of music devided into 11 directories. Each directory contains each artist in its own directory. Each one of those has the individual albums in those directories. The albums and songs are all being scanned no problem. However the 11 directories aren’t showing up. Only one directory is showing up. Country. The rest, rock, jazz, soul, gospel etc are not. If I look at it using the artist, album, etc. They show up fine. If I look under folder view all I see is country. Make sense?
Sadly not… at least not to me ![]()
Have you assigned those 11 directories individually to your library or are those subdirectories of a parent library folder which is added to the library?
So your folder structure looks something like this?

Where does your Plex Music library point?
The parent “Music” folder?
Or did you add all the genre folders?
Either way should work, as far as I know, though I personally prefer the first. I don’t think this is the cause of your issue, but if your library is configured the second way, you might try creating another library (don’t delete the existing one – just make a new one with a different name) configured the first way and see if it makes a difference.
What do you mean by only one directory is showing up? Can you take a screen shot and post so we can see what you see?
If you want each genre to have its own side tab you need to create libraries and point to the folder as other poster said.
The first way is the way I have it. I’ll try again and see what happens.
