Media Navigation

Hi,
I just installed Plex to try and was intrigued - In my playing some of my media I noticed the lack of a [Back] button that would allow me to return to where I was when selecting a specific file. Does anyone know if this option exists - Thanks

Hi Abeiis

Please provide more info?

Were you in the player app? if so you should see the back button on the top left corner of your screen between the Plex logo and the Search box. But it is only active while inside a menu Item or Folder

if you are on the Media Server directly there is no Back button.

While playing a movie and you pause it versus Stop, the only way to return to the Movie list is a) leave it paused and click on the Down arrow at the top left of the screen which will expose your movie list or b) stop the movie will return you to your movie list.

In my opinion Plex works best when you have a Dedicated PC as your Media server tucked away in the basement or a closet and you access it via a player app. I have moved all my media to Plex and just love all its features and functions, It does take some time to get the server setup with your media folders it just all depends how you want to organize it Lifetime Plex pass is your best value, enjoy it

It does depend on which player you’re talking about, but in the Plex Web app, you can use the “breadcrumbs” at the top of the screen to move to higher levels:
