Hello,

Since the recent update my server has done, no new movies/TV shows have been matching. I read on another forum post to change the scanner to tvdb/movie database as a quick fix which I’ve tried and when it saves and “upgrades library” it instantly reverts to the plex agent again.

I’ve deleted a TV show library as a tester to see if I can set it up again using a different agent (TVDB) and when it re-created that just decided to change itself to plex agent. And what’s more is every TV show it’s added is now un-matched when previously everything was fine (until remaking the library to try changing the scanner)

Trying to match/manual match doesn’t work either I’ve attached a few pictures to show what I see but can update with anything else needed. Hopefully I’ve attached what’s required correctly.

Thankyou!

I’ve now fully re installed the media server from scratch creating a new server and everything is not matched and shows as black without posters

Same here on a Synology.

Was fixed after a server restart.

try restarting the server, there is a known glitch

Restarted multiple times, re-created server fresh, changed agent/scanner and some of the stuff has now re-matched but not much, some stuff will allow manual matching now as well but most things still won’t (not a naming issue everything was previously working fine)

Famous last words, depends on when that media was originally matched and the changes to the scanner since then.

Can you provide the path and name of a file that isnt matching?

Wouldn’t say famous last words since 16TB of stuff has previously been fine for months with the occasional file needing to be manually matched and then suddenly everything unmatched and black posters for everything completely at random when the new update was applied. I’ve not changed anything in the scanner settings either from initial server setup unless you mean changes in an update?

As an example however everything is basically like this

“M:\Movies\21 Jump Street (2012)\21 Jump Street (2012).mp4”
“M:\TV Shows\Breaking Bad (2008)\Season 1\Breaking Bad - S01E01.mp4”

I use tiny media manager to rename everything so it follows what plex wants on the support articles I read when initially setting the server up to avoid any issues with matching

Not sure what’s happened but most stuff has re-matched itself now.
Plex scanner was declaring everything as un-found where as the other scanners were finding things and “matching” them but not actually creating any metadata for anything or displaying multiple copies of the files merged (1080p, 4k etc), but at random everything has started to match itself again as of about 1 hour ago.

Maybe it was just a glitch and it’s took a few days to correct itself but I’m not sure, restarted the server multiple times as well as the full computer it’s hosted on.
It seems to have just re-matched everything at random without any specific steps I’ve taken other than re-scanning, refreshing metadata and restarting server/PC a few times in the past couple of days.
