Media Player for Windows Fails to run after login

As usual I open Plex Media Player then attempt to login, which it does.
The last video which I chose was a linked “behind the scenes” clip for “War for the planet of the Apes” which locked the Media Player up. Now every time I attempt to run Media Player I get the message “PlexMediaPlayer has stopped working A problem has caused this program to stop working correctly. Windows will now close the program”

For helping to diagnose what happened,
Please go and fetch the log file from PMP.

For getting up and running again,
close PMP and make sure it is closed by inspecting the list of running processes in Windows Task Manager (CTRL+Shift+Esc)
Then delete everything out of %LOCALAPPDATA%\PlexMediaPlayer\

Following that, you need to reconfigure PMP again.
