I have a TCL Roku TV with plex. I had Windows 7 with Plex server. Everything worked fine. I had media on a MyBook. I switched to Windows 10 and moved everything over. It worked fine for a few days. Then I tried playing blu ray. It kept buffering and pausing or not working. It suggested I change quality, so I did but it did not fix it. After that I could no longer play even MP4s. They did the same thing. Pause, stop, say content error, etc. They might play for a bit and then stop.
I am tired of rebooting the router, restarting plex and power cycling my Roku TV. It is like nothing fixes it. I must maybe somehow have changed a setting but I don’t know what it is. I tried lowering the quality and it didn’t help. I turned off some other devices and turned off the Windows 7 machine but it did not help. I unplugged the touter for 5 minutes and the Roku tv for so long and plugged them back in. Even tried copying from my book to C drive to see if that was the problem. But no.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Updates are current on plex and roku
