Player Version#:2025.26.0(1279) (plex for iOS) also happening on 8.6.5.10604-ea6e6ca15-Plex (my Roku tv) (issue could potentially be shared with other platforms that are untested)

The server keeps crashing for some unknown reason. It works fine in the web player, however when using app versions like on my phone or Roku tv the server crashes. Sometimes it takes a bit and sometimes it crashes almost immediately. It may be occurring when I try to play files. I’m not entirely sure though. Sometimes I’m able to open a few episodes before it crashes and sometimes it will crash when i try to open the first one.
I’m running windows 10 64bit version btw. If any other info is needed don’t hesitate to ask and I will do my best to provide.
Do you actively use the DLNA service? If not, please disable it. Located in Server Settings > DLNA.
Do you actively use or need to have IPv6 enabled? If not, please select IPv4 only. Located in Server Settings > Network.
Can you also confirm if Relay Access is enabled? If it is enabled, please disable it and restart PMS. After PMS starts again, enable Relay Access if you would like. Located in Server Settings > Network.
One last thing, is the classic “Turn it off and on again”. Have you or could your restart the host machine and try again.
none of these worked. I dont think its an issue with the network. Since the plex software is crashing on the host computer instead of the server just being unavailable.
neither worked for me unfortunately. I may try reinstalling again at some point but for now I’ve gotten by with just using a program to auto restart plex if it goes down(honestly would be nice if something like that could be built into plex.) It may also be happening due to a lack of available resources? im currently running plex on a really old desktop with only like 2gb of ram available at any given time. but i am planning to upgrade that sometime soon so maybe that could fix it.
