Media server is connected to an old account email i no longer can access

Hello

Stupidly enought when i setup plex and the media server i did it on my old work email. I can no longer access it.

The server is now connected to that account and now my new account. I have tired reinstallnig the media server but its still connected to the old account. How can i change this without being able to log in to the old account?

Server Version#: 1,23,4,4805
Player Version#:

Same situation. I cannot assign Plex Pass privileges to my new server

Note: Plex is currently experiencing plex.direct DNS resolution issues, which can affect access to https://app.plex.tv/desktop and account authentication. Suggest you wait until the issues are resolved before proceeding. Monitor the situation at https://status.plex.tv/.

Both of these work on my Plex Media Server (1.23.5.4801) on Win10 Pro.

If you can access Settings → Server_Name → General:

  1. Log out of the Plex Media Server (places server in unclaimed state)
  2. Log out of Plex Web
  3. Log in to Plex Web using one of the above URLs and the desired Plex account
  4. Claim server.

Using RegEdit:

  1. Shutdown Plex Media Server
  2. If desired, make a backup of the Windows registry.
  3. Using RegEdit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server\
  4. Delete PlexOnlineMail, PlexOnlineToken, and PlexOnlineUsername.
  5. Exit RegEdit
  6. Run Plex Media Server. It will be in an unclaimed state.
  7. Go to Settings → Username → General (double click on the Plex icon in the taskbar or use the 127.0.0.1 URL above).
  8. Claim server using desired Plex account.
