After upgrading Plex Pass Server no longer accessible

I’ve used Plex with no server issues since 2019 and I finally decided to upgrade to the lifetime pass. Shortly after I noticed that my movies were no longer accessible, so I started a troubleshoot that led me to searching and destroying every plex file on my computer with the intention of a clean install. I have not been able to make my Plex account from either a browser or the windows app connect to my server despite my efforts. Please help.

Very likely, your server has been signed into a different Plex account than the one you are using in your web browser.
By default, other Plex accounts don’t get access to a server.

Deleting all files is not necessary for changing the plex account of an existing server.
Instead, perform this procedure: You need to reclaim your server, but don't dare to touch the Windows Registry

Would that still be possible if I’ve never used a different one and nobody at home uses plex besides myself?

If you follow Otto’s instructions you are removing any ownership of the server, which will then let you claim it using the account you have the pass on.
