Server Version#: 1.24.5.5173
Player Version#: 4.63.0
I’m guessing there might be a simple fix for this, since I can use relay at home, but media server is unavailable on my two roku tvs and my desktop, running server on my laptop.
I apologize if this is a dumb question, but I have tried all the troubleshooting steps I could find and no fix yet.
Can you describe your network. Without knowing much I’m going to guess either you have a firewall enabled not letting Plex through. or possibly DNS rebinding in which case i would try to use Google DNS. Would probably need to see your server logs to figure out if something else
@BigWheel I am running a Linksys Mesh network. No DNS rebinding on these routers according to Linksys. I have switched to Google DNS as well as CloudFare with no change in behavior. Everything local is still a relayed connection. Would you prefer an emailed zip of the logs, or just a cut and paste? Thanks in advance for your help.
That would be it timing out trying to read the xml provided from a device is on your network like a tuner, router, etc (something that is using WPS) that is broadcasting itself on SSDP. Generally you can ignore that.
You can just attach the whole log zip file here or you can click on my username and message it to me.
hey @Mark63368 one more thing. your server logs look fine afaict. would you mind getting the logs from one of the player apps that is connecting over relay rather than locally
@BigWheel The Roku menu no longer has an option for logs. At least on the Ultra’s. I get a message from Plex that says “Limited Quality 2 Mbs” All other apps on the Roku are fine with no resolution issues.
In the app on the bottom of the side bar under your libraries go to settings and under Advanced you should see Logging. when you move right to select logging the make sure Local is selected and you will see a URL to open on your computer to get the logs
I get a message when I try to navigate to taht IP that my Internet access is blocked. I’ve tried killing my AV and Anti-malware and still get the same results
have you checked the ports in your firewall on computer? Are they on the same subnet; is the local IP of the Roku, the same schema except last digit as your server computer’s local IP?
I found the problem. It was the Nord firewall, even though the app was completely stopped. I even had it configured to allow Plex. After a complete uninstall, everything works. I really appreciate your help. I’ve been pulling my hair out for weeks!!
