Can't connect to Plex Media Server from any device

Server Version#: 1.23.6.4881

I have been using Plex on my Roku successfully for years. I even watched a movie with it last night. However, today when I tried to stream a show from my Plex Media Server (which is on my Windows 10 computer) to my Roku, it would not connect to the Media Server.

Note: I typically run NordVPN on my Windows computer, but after Plex couldn’t connect today, I turned it off. Everything that I list below I did with NordVPN turned off.

I signed out of the Media Server and signed out of the Plex app on the Roku. I even deleted the Plex app from the Roku altogether and then downloaded it again. I signed back into both (I signed into the Media Server first) but even then, the Plex app on the Roku says my Media Server is “unavailable”. I tried from my iPhone, but on the Plex iOS app, it says my Media Server is “offline”. If I launch the Plex app on the Windows computer itself and try to watch something, it works fine.

I have no idea what could have changed overnight to suddenly make it stop working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love Plex and use it all the time, and it’s terribly disappointing that it has suddenly stopped working.

I finally figured out the problem. Somehow a 2nd listing for the Plex Media Server showed up in the Window Firewall settings, and that listing wasn’t set to allow it to pass through the firewall. Once I set it to allow it, it started working on my Roku and iPhone again.
