I have a Plex server setup on my personal computer for my mom’s use at her house using her Smart TV (I don’t know what kind of Smart TV nor what version player it’s running). It worked fine for several months. Recently it continues to tell her it’s unavailable until I open Plex within my browser on my computer. Plex is always running in the background just as it was before, no known changes were made beyond updates but issue didn’t seem to happen immediately after an update, either. She was using Plex (after I opened it in my browser) on Sunday, but then yesterday when she went to try it again it was unavailable. She apparently tried several times throughout the day with the same result. She tried several times this morning, same result. The moment she texted me to tell me, I did as I’ve been doing, right clicked the Plex icon in my task bar from running in the background, clicked “open Plex…” which simply opens it within the browser, and all of a sudden she’s had access. I left the browser open Sunday hoping, for some reason, that’d help (even though I never needed to do this before), but that didn’t change it - still didn’t work the next day (Monday).
If I could get some help, I’d truly appreciate it. She is a senior woman who lives alone and she won’t want to “bother me” every time regardless of how many times I tell her it’s no bother.
