How do I merge these? Is it possible?
If the Friends Account is living on the same place like you then you can invite him to your Plex Home. Click on the username and after this click to “add to plex home” (or similar; it is the small house icon on the upper right). Your friend has to confirm your Plex Home invitation. After this his account will show on the “change user” screen and he can select his user profile on the “change user” screen.
Note:
You can only be in one Plex Home at a time. If he has his own Plex Home he shouldn’t confirm your invitation because this will remove him from his Plex Home. In this case leave it as it is. He has access to the libraries you shared with him.
2nd option:
Create a Managed User for him (optional protect it with a PIN and tell him the code) so he can watch your stuff on one of your home devices (Apple TV, Play Station, Tablet and so on) if you logged yourself in.
In the screenshot shown above he could log himself in at your place with the “salmon red” Teen account starting with “A.”

What do you want to accomplish by merging these?
Is it a managed user who is leaving the nest?
This script can migrate viewstate and watch history from a managed user to a friend. I used it, verified that it worked, and then deleted the original managed user.
Have a database backup before you attempt this, obviously.

It’s my son’s account. He has his own Plex account that he uses on his phone, etc. When he is at home he watches on the TV, which is using my account. I don’t want to switch accounts on the TV and I don’t want to log my account in on his phone.
Thank you. I think this is exactly what I was looking for. I think I actually did that in the past, but he never accepted the invitation. I just deleted the invite the other day.
